Diane Tiveron Speaks at the Women’s Leadership Summit at Canisius University
On Friday, March 7th, 2025, Diane Tiveron was invited to speak at the Women’s Leadership Summit at Canisius Univeristy in Downtown Buffalo, NY. The summit revolved around the inspiration and professional empowerment of women in a variety of industries and endeavors.
After a keynote speech from Keia Clarke ’03, CEO of the New York Liberty, participants were able to select between a wide range of “breakout sessions,” including:
• Taking Charge of Your Physical and Mental Health: Cultivating Wellness and Building Resilience
• Leveraging Your Canisius Network to Ignite Your Potential
• Women and Philanthropy: Maximizing Your Impact
Diane was honored to help present the Women and Philanthropy session, alongside Cindy Odom – President & CEO of New City Kids, and Mary Perna Greenwald – Vice President at The Perna Greenwald Group at Morgan Stanley.
Together, the three women covered a variety of topics related to how women can drive change through philanthropic endeavors, including:
Charitable Trusts & Donor-Advised Funds
Exploring charitable trusts and donor-advised funds can help you support causes that matter to you, while also providing potential tax advantages.
Giving Back to the Community
Whether it’s planned gifts, charitable bequests in your will, or establishing a foundation – it’s important to regularly review and update your charitable intentions to ensure they align with your goals.
Establishing a Foundation or Non-Profit
Starting a foundation or a non-profit organization is a direct way to support a community or group of people. It’s a powerful way to make change in the world around you, but it’s critical to stay informed and up to date with legal requirements to maintain compliance and maximize your impact.
Personal Estate Planning
As a professional, it’s critical to have an air-tight estate plan that handles your assets exactly the way you’d like – including potential charitable giving.
