Legal Limelight, a weekly feature, includes a Q&A with one of our attorneys or valued employees. Keep reading to learn all about this week’s guest, Alex M. Neurohr, an Associate Attorney with Tiveron Law.
Q: How long have you been with Tiveron Law?
A: A little over a month.
Q: How many years have you been practicing law?
A: I was admitted (to the Bar) in January of 2015.
Q: What is your area of practice?
A: Real Estate.
Q: What kinds of cases do you handle in this field of practice?
A: I handle anything from purchases to sales, mortgages, property disputes, and really anything within the Real Estate spectrum.
Q: Where did you attend school?
A: SUNY Buffalo Law School
Q: Why did you become a lawyer?
A: When it comes down to it, I found it to be a significant career path where you can make an impact and help people.
Q: Do you participate in any community activities?
A: I’m on the volunteer committee for Hunter’s Hope. I’ve also done some volunteer work for Hospice. I like to do anything that comes along.
Q: Where do you find the time to volunteer?
A: Luckily, with Hunter’s Hope, we get together about once a month to plan any activities coming up. They’re good about catering to younger professionals’ schedules.
Q: Why did you choose to practice in Buffalo?
A: I went away for my undergrad. I was away for four years and I had a good experience, but I really missed the area and the people. When I was going to school, I thought about maybe going to New York or a bigger city like D.C., but with everything happening in Buffalo the past few years, I’d find it harder to leave now. The city’s really taken off.
Q: What’s the one thing you wish your clients knew about you?
A: I would want my clients to know they’re important. If it’s been a day or two since you last heard from us, it doesn’t mean we forgot about you, but because we’re busy working on your files to develop them and to bring you feedback which is relevant and helpful.
Q: What is your favorite time of year in Buffalo?
A: The summer; there’s a lot to do. Just being out in the city, down by the water, in the Elmwood village, there’s always something going on.
Q: Who is your favorite sports team?
A: Unfortunately, I’d say the Bills. I’m really into golf, but for a team, it’s the Bills.
Q: Which is one of your favorite bands?
A: Vampire Weekend
Q: Do you have any pets?
A: No, I don’t, but I’ve been thinking about getting a dog.
Q: What would you name your dog?
A: Alan. Human names for dogs are the best
