Real Estate Closing Services still fully Operational
Some good news to share with you – On Sunday, March 22nd, we received written confirmation that our real estate department was an “essential business,” and we therefore can continue to provide closing services in our offices (employees non-essential to these services are working from home, in compliance with the Executive Order). Recordings are carried out through “e-filing,” and so long as the County Clerk’s staff are available to process the documents, full insured closings will continue to take place.
Borrowers and other clients who are part of the settlement process can make an appointment at our offices (Amherst, Lockport, Buffalo, Lancaster, Ellicottville) and under prescribed sanitization and isolation procedures, execute all required documents in a legally acceptable manner.
We are also preparing to offer electronic notary services over the internet.
Please contact our real estate department at 716-636-7600 with any questions or to discuss these services further.
